ARCHIBUS User Group UK - Thursday 10th May 2012
ARCHIBUS User Group UK - Thursday 10th May 2012
Excitech Ltd. would like to extend a personal invitation for you to participate in the forthcoming ARCHIBUS User Group.
This will be held on the morning of Thursday 10th May 2012 at the Royal Institute of British Architects, 66 Portland Place, London W1B 1AD.
The aim of the event is to provide ARCHIBUS users with a forum where it is possible to learn of product developments, review issues, share ideas and receive input from industry sources that support users to maximize the return on investment made in ARCHIBUS solutions.
The agenda for the day will include the following:
“An Introduction to ARCHIBUS 20.1" by Sean Benson of ARCHIBUS and Jamie Webb of Excitech
This presentation will cover the enhancements to the core and space management & planning applications, and include an introduction to a host of new applications concerned with meeting sustainability and risk mitigation challenges.
"Building information Modeling and the Facilities Manager" by Andy Compton and Tracy Bingham of Excitech
Following the UK Government’s announcement that collaborative 3D BIM (with all project and asset information, documentation and data being electronic) will be required on its projects by 2016, Andy Compton and Tracy Bingham recap on how ARCHIBUS and Autodesk Revit have historically worked together and demonstrate how the new Smart Client features in V.20.1 extend this further.
- "COBie and ARCHIBUS" by Andy Compton and Tracy Bingham of Excitech
Continuing the BIM theme, Excitech explains and demonstrates the recognised capability of ARCHIBUS to consume construction generated COBie data into the ARCHIBUS database. - "User Experience session" Excitech User Experience sessions are designed to encourage sharing through formal user presentations or ad hoc contributions from the audience. The Spring event features a formal client presentation.
- Lunch and Breakout Sessions The lunchtime breakout sessions have been designed in a way that allows attendees to enjoy lunch with other attendees while participating in less formal discussions and demonstrations that offer a deeper dive into the new enhancements and applications. Breakout sessions are conducted in separate areas; however, by nature of their open format, users will have the opportunity to visit both.
Session 1 - Enhancements including: Space Requests, Workspace Transactions, Enhanced Global Feature Set & Web-based Redlining
Session 2 - New Applications including: Clean Building, Waste Management, Material Safety Data Sheets, Environmental Health & Safety and Commissioning
