Natural Resources Canada Wins $47 Million in Infrastructure Funds Using ARCHIBUS to Justify Grant

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is the Canadian federal government�s steward of the country�s rich land, minerals and energy portfolios. But saddled with millions of square feet of deteriorating offices, labs and other properties across the country -- with an average age of 47 years -- the agency recognized the need for funding to upgrade and maintain those facilities.

It received those funds when it won a $47 million (CND) grant, out of a total of $250 million in economic stimulus money from the Canadian federal government, thanks to ARCHIBUS Condition Assessment. The ability to collect accurate information that could document and justify the funding request helped NRCan get such a large percentage of the refurbishment money for what is one of that country�s smaller government departments.
