Announcing ARCHIBUS V.21.3: Simplicity through Intelligence

Mobile.  Metrics.  Page Navigation.
Geo-referencing.  Enterprise Integration.

If you like ARCHIBUS V.21.2, you're going to love V.21.3, the newest release of ARCHIBUS.

This latest advance in features and functionality has been designed to simplify your work without adding technical complexity.

That's because these new features operate in the same user interface (UI), framework, and platforms. If you deployed application features or personalized features such as home pages with V.21.2, all your personalizations should work unchanged in V.21.3.

What's new?

Your Mobile Processes...Simplified.

Mobile is essential to every organization's productivity and future strategy. For this reason, ARCHIBUS continues to aggressively improve the suite of mobile apps, with significant additions throughout all applications as well as the ARCHIBUS Mobile Framework in which they operate. We've also added some new helpful Mobile Framework features -- including drawing, redlining, barcoding, performance improvements, questionnaires, and new document integration.

For many new application features, ARCHIBUS has adopted a "mobile first" strategy to provide these features earliest at the point of activity.

Your Geospatial Analysis...Simplified.

With ARCHIBUS V.21.3, you can now geo-reference... nearly everything. From parcels to buildings, floors, rooms and equipment. Whether inside or outside a building, at national, campus, or floor plan scale, ARCHIBUS allows you to have a single, consistent common operating picture that can move seamlessly between geographic contexts. GIS provides an invaluable capability to view and analyze real estate and facilities data geospatially so you can make more informed space planning, move management, facilities siting, environmental compliance, and other business-related decisions...

Real Estate Portfolio Management...Simplified.

A new Lease Portfolio Console provides all search, oversight, details, and actions a lease manager needs to handle both reactive issues and proactive planning from a single interface.

Capital Project Management...Simplified.

ARCHIBUS V.21.3 introduces powerful new integration of invoicing data to provide insight on actual project progress and spend, as well as integrated capital project consoles that summarize financial and schedule status, at-a-glance.

Space Planning & Management...Simplified.

This release continues a strong development program with VPA support for Space Transactions and improved Space Transaction editing on mobile devices.

Asset Management...Simplified.

ARCHIBUS has taken a "mobile first" approach to new asset management features, adding bar-coding, floor plan redlining, photo redlining, swipe navigation, and UI improvements to its already strong Asset & Equipment Survey App.

Building Operations...Simplified.

Supervise the entire end-to-end maintenance management process from mobile devices with a set of new and powerful features. ARCHIBUS V.21.3 also adds work team support and self-assignment features to both mobile and desktop environments for sites that assign work to teams or shops rather than to individual craftspersons.

Workplace Services...Simplified.

The workplace services applications in ARCHIBUS have made significant leaps in this release. The mobile Workplace Services Portal App got a facelift and new features, the Reservations Plugin for Outlook sports a number of improvements, and the Web Central Reservations application has significant new features -- including multiple simultaneous conference room reservations to schedule Web events and video conferences at multiple sites.

Enterprise Integration...Simplified.

Many of the world's largest organizations depend on ARCHIBUS as a critical extension to their ERP suite. The ARCHIBUS Connectors allow these organizations to reuse information that already exists in their "gold-standard" data sources as well as share ARCHIBUS Real Estate and Facilities data in their Microsoft, Oracle, Sage, SAP, UFIDA, and other enterprise systems.

The ARCHIBUS Connectors can enable rapid integration using industry standard transfer formats, such as OSCRE, COBIE, and buildingSmart IFCs.

This release also adds formal support for AutoCAD 2015, Revit 2015, Oracle 12c, JDK 1.7, Windows 8.1, iOS 7.0, and Internet Explorer 11.

Upgrades...Simplified.

This release contains a substantial improvement to the Database Upgrade Wizard, making upgrades to new versions of the ARCHIBUS database easier, even if your production database contains your own site's personalizations.

More details will be provided in upcoming issues of The ARCHIBUS Asset, as well as by your Business Partners who will be hosting V.21.3 Webcasts starting October 27th. In the meantime, contact your ARCHIBUS Business Partner to find out how you can upgrade to V.21.3 and incorporate all these enhancements to improve your productivity and lower your Total Cost of Occupancy.

The ARCHIBUS Users' Group Membership Advantage

At a recent Boston/NE AUG meeting, an unexpected highlight of the Space applications breakout session was a spectacular demo offered via WebEx by Randy Dinnison, Leader of the Tri-State AUG (in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia) and Facilities Administration Manager for Reed Elsevier. Randy deftly navigated the group through dazzlingly bright, color-splashed screens of ARCHIBUS applications for his corporation's facilities around the globe. His discussion of flexible seating and utilization tracking sparked particular interest around the table and stimulated the rest of the group's discussion that morning.
