Qwest Communications Senior Real Estate Analyst Mark Claussen has won the Distinguished User Award of Excellence from ARCHIBUS, Inc. (www.archibus.com), the # 1 developer of software solutions for real estate, infrastructure and facilities management in the world.
The Distinguished User Award of Excellenceis presented to an organization or an individual who has provided sustained leadership in their FM automation practices and implementation.
Mr. Claussen has been “on point” for Qwest’s ARCHIBUS project since its inception three years ago. He has led a team of power users in different cities as they built the space database. He has consistently looked to ARCHIBUS as opportunities arose to track assets.
The most recent example of this is the Artwork project, where an existing list of company-owned art works was imported into the ARCHIBUS database and is assessed on a regular basis using the ARCHIBUS Condition Assessment application to determine current value and condition. Mr. Claussen has continuously thought “outside the box” to stretch the capabilities of ARCHIBUS for Qwest. He makes ARCHIBUS work for Qwest Communications.
The award was announced at the recent 16th annual International ARCHIBUS Users’ Conference, held at Walt Disney World’s Swan Hotel in Orlando, Florida. The event is attended by executives from corporations, governments, healthcare organizations, educational institutions and others to exchange ideas on more efficient management practices that reduce overall cost of occupancy, lower energy use, and improve environmental sustainability.
