Recognizing Exceptional Achievements in the ARCHIBUS Community
One of our favorite moments at ARCHIBUS Nexus every year is when we present the ARCHIBUS Awards of Excellence. These awards recognize the amazing vision, talent, and effort in our user community – special users making a positive impact with ARCHIBUS technology.
Of course, these winners are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to ARCHIBUS users doing great work, as each year, people nominate so many unsung heroes that have flown under the radar.
The award winners whom we will be recognizing this year, however, are more than deserving of their respective honors, and it is our pleasure and privilege to share with you the exceptional nature of their achievements.
Without further ado, here are this year’s winners.
ARCHIBUS Platinum Circle Award (Hall of Fame)
Awarded to those whose facility management practices contribute to creating and managing productive work environments and supporting business objectives. They have all demonstrated clear, consistent vision, proven value and quantifiable results in record time, while continually expanding the reach of ARCHIBUS throughout the enterprise.

Jenny Durbin – Illumina
Jenny demonstrated exceptional vision, creativity, and management prowess to support Illumina’s global real estate, facilities, manufacturing, and delivery with ARCHIBUS. Jenny’s team’s efforts to create and implement a Work Anywhere strategy have transformed Illumina’s work space, connecting places to people and establishing a model for many other organizations to follow.
ARCHIBUS Golden Circle Award
Awarded to an organization or individual whose real estate, infrastructure, and facilities management practices contribute to creating and managing productive work environments, and support objectives of the company business plan. They demonstrate outstanding management strategies resulting in improved quality of service and effectiveness of the portfolio performance.

Majmi Mehat – POS MALAYSIA BERHAD
Majmi Mehat’s team have far exceeded everyone’s expectations at Pos Malaysia by leveraging ARCHIBUS technology to maximize revenue from the organization’s space, real estate, and facilities.
Ralph W. Linne – Hamilton County BOCC – Facilities Department
Ralph’s efforts have spread the benefits of ARCHIBUS to 18 organizations throughout Hamilton County, from maximizing productivity in the county auditor’s office to maintaining the stadium that’s home to the Cincinnati Reds (the local Baseball team).
Irfan Mohammed and Frank J. Piatkowski – National Institutes of Health
With 20 MM gross square feet to manage, and needing to provide research and office facilities for their 27 institutes’ and centers’ time-based studies and grants, Irfan and Frank led a team of just 5 to utilize ARCHIBUS to develop a Space Request Module, automating and reducing time to process space requests by 50%.
ARCHIBUS Innovative Business Transformation Award
Awarded to the individual whose ingenuity and dedication have had a tsunami effect on the organizational enterprise by extending its existing Enterprise Resource Planning suite with information-sharing that connects strategic missions directly to staff, real estate, and facility operations.

Mdm. Zaidatul Ahmad Zubel – Putrajaya Holdings, Parcel F
Mdm. Zaidatul Ahmad Zubel has been remarkable in taking on an effort to implement a BIM-driven facilities management strategy over a 33.47-acre site with 9 office towers and a shared facility. It’s not only the first project of its kind in Putrajaya, Malaysia, it’s one of the most impressive in the world.
ARCHIBUS Energy Efficiency Award
Given to an organization that has used innovative technology or management methods to reduce energy use and costs, reducing its carbon footprint and serving as an example for others to follow.

Nancy Gucciardo – Alliant Energy
Nancy was unable to attend the award ceremony, but her efforts in enhancing energy reporting across the organization to drive sustainability and cost-efficiency have been exceptional.
ARCHIBUS Application Excellence Award
Presented to organizations that have demonstrated a unique, innovative application of the ARCHIBUS software to their company’s own needs and overall structure. All of these organizations can be viewed as explorers and visionaries who, early on, had the courage to push the envelope and think outside the box.

ARCHIBUS Solution Center – Romania
For developing the Graphical Workflow Engine Add-On.
Richard Kimber – University of the West of England
For integrating ARCHIBUS and IFS using push/pull WEB Services.
Tim Schuh, Ralph W. Linne, and Bert Watts – Hamilton County BOCC, Facilities Department
For continuously expanding ARCHIBUS capabilities to identify, estimate, request, and track Capital Improvement Projects.
Majmi Mehat – POS MALAYSIA BERHAD
For innovative use of space reservations to generate advertising revenue for the Malaysian postal service.
Lana Kim and Clara Gomez – NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services
For developing a custom Contract Management functionality to manage and maintain 55 City-owned buildings.
ARCHIBUS Distinguished User Award
Presented to an individual or organization that has provided sustained leadership in its implementation and use of real estate, infrastructure, and facilities management technologies.

Antonella Ippolito – Turner Argentina
Antonella’s leadership since 2012 has been critical to the success of ARCHIBUS implementations at Turner Argentina and Turner Brazil.
Global Workplace Solutions Team – Red Hat, Inc.
Red Hat’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) team continues to leverage technology to improve the company’s workplace experience through a myriad of projects.
Clara Gomez and Andrew Bailey – NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services
In a citywide implementation, Clara and Andrew’s sustained enthusiasm and effort were key to seeing a long implementation through to success.
Johnson County Kansas Facilities Management Team
For 18 years, Johnson County Kansas has continued to evolve and renew its belief in managing and maintaining county assets with ARCHIBUS, producing remarkable results for their community.
ARCHIBUS Award of Excellence – Users’ Group Education Excellence Award
Presented to the ARCHIBUS Users’ Group (AUG) that has experienced exceptional participation due to quality educational offerings and programs. The group consistently presents outstanding programs designed to meet the needs of the professional members.

Masae Patrick – Houston ARCHIBUS Users’ Group
Masae has been instrumental in evolving the Houston ARCHIBUS Users’ Group into an amazing platform for cross-organizational exchange of ideas.
ARCHIBUS Meeting Place of the Year Award
Awarded to ARCHIBUS Users’ Group organizers for educational and social events at meeting places of the most historical or public significance.

Southern California AUG – Sheri Singer, SONY Pictures Entertainment
By hosting ARCHIBUS users at the Sony Pictures Studio in Culver City, Sheri provided an unforgettable and inspirational experience for all who attended.
Users’ Group Leader of the Year Award
Presented to the ARCHIBUS Users’ Group (AUG) Leader who has demonstrated exceptional initiative, leadership, enthusiasm and passion in expanding the AUG experience and furthering the momentum throughout the ARCHIBUS Community.

Mark Washington – Baltimore ARCHIBUS Users’ Group
Mark’s leadership and energy have made Baltimore’s user group a magnet for fascinating discussion, with recent topics spanning recently released ARCHIBUS V.23 functionality, GIS Extensions, 360º Views, use of Pictometry for interior building views and more.
